SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Combi Lamination Operator is responsible for setting up the Combi laminator, running production of the laminator, cleaning and all related maintenance of the machine.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Completes proper checking of production and material. Set up and operate specific Laminating Machine according to company laminating procedures and guidelines
  • Identifies and ensures that proper materials are used for production and manages pre-run testing of the material
  • Perform all required quality checks
  • Load and unload material from the laminators using defined equipment 
  • Follow the production schedule as issued by production control
  • Follow equipment and workplace cleaning/sanitation procedures.
  • Perform daily and periodic preventative maintenance duties specified for assigned machines/equipment
  • Report all Quality and Food Safety Violations to management
Additional Warehouse Assistant duties:
 
  • Assists shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in supplies, matching purchase orders.
  • Reads customer orders, work order, shipping orders and requisitions to determine items to be moved, distributed and/ or shipped
  • Moves Materials an items from receiving or storage areas to shipping and other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves or in bins according by size, type, color or product code.
  • Marks materials, opens bales, crates and other containers, assist in counting physical inventory.
  • Organizes warehouse and work area. 
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocates orders to a holding area or shipping department.
  • Files requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
  • Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
  • Prepares parcels for mailing.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Performs other duties as assigned 
  • Turns on auxiliary and other equipment as needed

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to read rulersunderstand gauges and use a micrometer
  • Testing of equipment
  • Must have good judgment with decision making in regards to Safety and Quality 
  • Ability to work additional overtime if required to get the job tasks completed 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Machine Operator experience preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Mostly on the production floor with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Handling of adhesives and cleaning solvents
  • Some mandatory overtime
  • Cleaning area daily to maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is around moving mechanical parts and vibration.
